With 99.6%, Harsh tops Mohali district in Class X results

Shemrock School, Sector 69, student Harshveer Singh scored 99.6 per cent marks to emerge as the Class X topper of the district in the CBSE examinations, the results for which were declared today.

The son of a businessman Zorawer Singh and mother Jagjeet Kaur, Harshveer, 15, a resident of Kharar, aspires to be an engineer and has already started preparing for the JEE exam.

“I find inspiration from my grandfather (Gurcaharan Singh), who retired from the District Education Office. In my free time, I like to play chess to freshen up my mind,” Harshveer said, further adding that he never uses a calculator and enjoys solves complex mathematics problems on his own.

Meanwhile, Armeet Kaur of the Lawrance Public Senior Secondary School, Sector 51, Mohali, scored 99.4 percent marks.

Saket Garg of the Manav Mangal Smart School, Mohali and Vipul Chand of the Lawrance Public Senior Secondary School, Sector 51, meanwhile, also performed well, scoring 99.2 per cent each.

In the Class XII result, Harsirat Kaur Gill of the Shivalik Public School, Mohali, scored 96.8 per cent marks in the medical stream.

Kanika of National Public School, Kurali scored 97.4 per cent marks in the commerce stream.

Both Rosereet Kaur and Drishti Arora from Doon International School, Sector 69, scored 98.4 per cent in the humanities stream.

Chandigarh
