Uplifting every section of society remains key priority, says Shandil
Health, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dhani Ram Shandil on Tuesday chaired a meeting with representatives of the Devbhoomi Kshatriya Organisation, engaging in detailed discussions on the issues raised by the group.
“The state government is committed to the holistic development of all communities and is consistently working for their welfare within the framework of the Constitution,” Shandil asserted. “Uplifting every section of society remains a key priority for the present administration,” he added.
Shandil assured the delegation that the concerns raised by the Devbhoomi Kshatriya Organisation would be taken seriously and appropriate steps would be considered. He further stated that he would apprise the CM about the organisation’s demands to facilitate necessary action in due course.
Citing the government’s inclusive approach, the minister highlighted initiatives like the Mukhyamantri Sukh-ashray Yojana, under which complete care is being provided to thousands of orphans and destitute children across Himachal Pradesh. “These children have been given the status of ‘Children of the State’ and the government has assumed the role of their guardian,” he said, recalling the CM’s visit to the Tutikandi orphanage shortly after assuming office.
Earlier, state president of the organisation, Rummit Singh Thakur, submitted a memorandum outlining the organisation’s demands and urged the government to consider them with due attention.
The meeting was attended by Secretary of Social Justice and Empowerment Ashish Singhmar, Secretary of General Administration Rajesh Sharma, Director ESOMSA Sumit Khimta, senior officials and representatives of the organisation.
