The recent shelling by Pakistan, in retaliation for India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ on May 7, targeted civilian areas along Jammu and Kashmir and the Line of Control (LoC), resulting in civilian deaths and significant damage to residential infrastructure. The operation was launched to avenge the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, targeting nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).
It is to be noted that in response to ‘Operation Sindoor’, a rattled Pakistani military launched missiles simultaneously towards 15 Indian cities, aiming to target military bases. However, all these attacks were intercepted and destroyed mid-air by the S-400 ‘Sudharshan’ air defense system provided to India by Russia. The system successfully intercepted and neutralized several drones and missiles coming from Pakistan. The S-400 system, referred to as the “Sudarshan Chakra” by the Indian military, is a Russian-made air defense platform capable of tracking targets up to 600 kilometers away and intercepting them at ranges of up to 400 kilometers.

Amid all this, another shocking revelation has emerged regarding Pakistan. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a warning that unregistered mobile phones are increasingly becoming a major threat to the country’s security. According to a spokesperson of the PTA, the use of such mobile phones is rapidly increasing in cybercrime and financial fraud. In light of this, the PTA and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have jointly launched a strict crackdown on these fake mobile phones, reported TV9Hindi.
According to the TV9Hindi report, the spokesperson made it clear that selling or buying fake, cloned, or JV (Joint Venture) mobile phones is completely banned. Anyone caught dealing in such phones will face arrest, legal action, and their devices will be seized. The report further mentioned that the PTA has urged people to stay alert and report any shop or person selling these illegal phones to the FIA right away. They also warned that any mobile phone not registered through DIRBS (Device Identification Registration and Blocking System) will be permanently blocked from use.
