Radiation leaking after Indian attack on Pakistan’s nuclear facility? US says….
India’s Operation Sindoor broke the back of terrorism in Pakistan and POK. In such a situation, such news is continuously coming out on social media, in which it is being claimed that nuclear radiation is leaking near Sargodha in Pakistan. Now the US government has reacted to this.
It is being claimed that Pakistan has nuclear weapons at Kirana Hills near Sargodha Airbase. Nuclear radiation is leaking after the attack on Sargodha during Operation Sindoor. It is being said that America has sent its team to Pakistan to investigate the radiation.
In this regard, when the Principal Deputy Spokesperson of the US State Department, Tommy Piggot, was asked whether the US team has gone to Pakistan to investigate the nuclear radiation leak, he said that I have nothing to talk about or speculate on at this time.
Notably, Operation Sindoor, India had attacked terror bases in Pakistan and PoK. Attacks were also carried out on Sargodha and Noor Khan airbases of Pakistan. It is being said that the Pakistan Army has kept nuclear weapons around these two places. Radiation is leaking here due to India’s attacks. However, the Indian government has denied all such reports.
The Indian Air Force carried out precision strikes on at least eight Pakistani military installations on May 10 as part of Operation Sindoor, following which satellite images confirmed extensive damage to infrastructure and ground infrastructure.
These included radar centres, command and control centres and ammunition depots in Rafiqui, Muridke, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Saqr, Chunian, Pasrur and Sialkot. At the same time, Kirana Hills and surrounding areas were identified as a subcritical nuclear test site in a 2023 report published by an NGO called Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. The report said that the site contains ammunition storage areas, TEL (transporter erector launcher) garages and at least ten underground storage facilities.
