Schools run by the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) have recorded their highest-ever results in the CBSE Class X and XII board examinations for the academic year 2024–25. NDMC officials hailed the performance as “extraordinary and unprecedented.”
Chairman of NDMC, Keshav Chandra, lauded the students and teachers, stating, “This stellar performance reflects the unwavering commitment of the NDMC Education Department towards academic excellence.
The overall pass percentage for Class X stood at an impressive 99.44%, while Class XII students recorded a success rate of 98.46%, informed NDMC Vice Chairman Kuljeet Singh Chahal. Both officials extended their congratulations to students, teachers, and parents, and reaffirmed the civic body’s resolve to continue raising the bar in public education.
The remarkable results follow a series of intensive academic support measures initiated by New Delhi Municipal Council in the run-up to the board exams. These included daily remedial classes across all 30 secondary and senior secondary NDMC schools—even on Sundays and holidays—after the pre-board results. Teachers provided targeted guidance and individual mentoring to help students overcome academic gaps and gain confidence.
Chahal also highlighted additional steps such as special parent-teacher meetings to encourage attendance in remedial sessions, as well as professional counselling sessions to help students manage exam-related stress.
To further support board aspirants, NDMC extended library hours, allowing students access to study materials and a quiet environment during evening hours.
“This success is the result of sincere efforts by our educators and the academic leadership under Ranjana Deswal, Officer on Special Duty (Education), and Kritika Choudhary, Director (Education),” said Chahal.
