The first is missed call and the second is SMS service. These services are very beneficial for those who do not have internet facility. Those who do not want to use the digital portal can check EPF balance through missed call and SMS.
Check PF balance through missed call
Give a missed call to 9966044425 from the registered mobile number. The call will be disconnected automatically and in a short time you will get information about PF balance and last contribution through SMS. This facility is absolutely free.
Get PF details through SMS
Write EPFOHO UAN from your registered mobile and SMS it to 7738299899. After this you will get information about balance, last contribution and KYC status.
If you want to get the information in another language, then include the language code in the message, like for Hindi – EPFOHO UAN HIN. Other language codes are – Punjabi (PUN), Gujarati (GUJ), Marathi (MAR), Kannada (KAN), Telugu (TEL), Tamil (TAM), Malayalam (MAL), Bengali (BEN).
Important rules to use these services
Your Universal Account Number (UAN) must be active.
Mobile number must be linked to UAN.
At least one KYC detail from Aadhaar, PAN or bank account must be updated.
How to activate UAN
Go to EPFO member portal Click on Activate UAN. Then enter UAN, name, date of birth, mobile number and captcha. After receiving the OTP, submit it and set the password.
Process to update KYC
Login to the EPFO portal with UAN and password. Go to the Manage tab and select the KYC option. Add Aadhaar, PAN or bank details and click on Save. After this your employer will have to approve it. With these facilities, employees can check their PF account easily and without internet.
