BJP holds ‘Tiranga’ rallies in Kashmir to celebrate Op Sindoor’s success
The J&K unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday organised ‘Tiranga’ rally at several places in the Kashmir valley to celebrate the success of armed forces in recent conflict with Pakistan during ‘Operation Sindoor’. The rallies were taken out in Srinagar, Pahalgam and Kupwara.
In Srinagar, party activists assembled at the Sher-e-Kashmir Park and started the rally that culminated at the historic Ghanta Ghar, the iconic clock tower at the Lal Chowk city centre.
Talking to reporters, BJP’s J&K spokesperson Altaf Thakur said the rally was a celebration of Operation Sindoor’s success. “This is the celebration of the Indian Army’s victory. Our forces exhibited courage and made Operation Sindoor a success. They destroyed terror factories inside Pakistan,” he said.
Similar rallies were organised in the Pahalgam tourist resort, where 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed in a terror attack on April 22 that led to Operation Sindoor, and Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Meanwhile in Jammu, Rajni Sethi, another spokesperson of the party said, “On April 22, India witnessed a tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which shook the entire nation. In response, the Indian government decided to give a befitting reply to the terrorist organisations operating from across the border. With determination and grit, the Indian Army launched Operation Sindoor, aimed at destroying terrorist camps and eliminating threats to national security.”
She said the operation achieved remarkable success. “The Indian Army demolished nine terrorist camps, caused severe damage to eleven airspaces, and neutralised over 100 terrorists.”
She said the ‘Tiranga’ rally is not just an event but a movement that reflects “a spirit of patriotism, respect for armed forces, and a tribute to the martyrs.”
