Nahaz was born and raised in Kerala. He learnt the basics of business from his family’s tissue manufacturing business. At the age of 20, he got a job in Qatar but he quit it to start his own business. Many Indians move abroad for better opportunities but Nahaz chose to return to India to chase his dream. His family was doubtful about his decision, but his mother supported him.

Nahaz had enjoyed non-sour yogurt in Qatar, which he didn’t taste in Kerala. So he wanted to bring such quality yogurt to India. In 2020, he founded Cremberie. Initially, he himself promoted his products by distributing free samples at malls and metro stations. Slowly he started getting responses from the people and customers.

He was ridiculed by friends and relatives but he remained firm on his decision. On the basis of feedback from customers he redefined his products and tried to match local tastes.

He started selling it in Kerala’s Lulu Mall and later it reached various supermarkets in Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. He started collaborating with five-star hotels to promote his brand. He addressed a gap in the market and built a successful brand.

Nahaz came into limelight when the Ambani family approached his company. “The Ambani family ordered over 10,000 yogurt packets for their sons’ weddings,” Nahaz said. Guests like Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg were among those who tasted Cremberie’s yogurt.

Today, Crèmberie’s yogurts are delivered in five-star hotels and on flights. Customers particularly like flavors like Spicy Sambharam Yogurt and Fruit-Based Yogurt. Cremberie reported an annual turnover of Rs 15 crore last year. Nahaz now plans to expand his business further across India and internationally.
