The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 10 results on May 13. Students can check their scores on the official websites at cbseresults.nic.in and digilocker.gov.in. While Class 12 results were already live, Class 10 students can now also view their marks through DigiLocker. This year, the CBSE Class 10 overall pass percentage is 93.66 per cent, slightly higher than last year. As in Class 12, girls outshone boys by a margin of 2.37 per cent.
Among the lakhs of students who appeared for the exams, 15-year-old Aarav Malhotra from Greater Noida has stunned the nation by scoring a perfect 500 out of 500 marks, securing 100 per cent in his CBSE Class 10 board exams.
Aarav studies at Delhi Public School (DPS) in the NCR region, a school known for its academic achievements and active participation in co-curricular activities. What sets Aarav apart is not just his perfect score, but also his choice of subjects.
He didn’t go for the standard subject combinations. Instead, Aarav took up English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science along with French as his second language and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as his sixth subject.
Here’s how he performed:
- English Language & Literature – 100/100
- French – 100/100
- Mathematics Standard – 100/100
- Science – 100/100
- Artificial Intelligence – 100/100
- Social Science – 98/100
Since CBSE considers the best five subjects for the final result, Aarav’s total score stands at a perfect 500/500.
Behind Aarav’s success is a strong support system. His parents, Aarunshi and Kumud Malhotra, stood by him throughout his preparation, encouraging him and keeping him focused. Aarav’s result is the outcome of hard work, smart planning, and disciplined study habits.
