More bad news for Pakistan, Muslim countries deported 5000 Pakistani, hundreds of Pak’s nationals deported by…, over…

In the past 16 months, Saudi Arabia has deported 5,033 Pakistani beggars, Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi disclosed this in the National Assembly. Apart from this hundreds of Pakistani nationals have been deported from other Middle Eastern countries for similar reasons.

Pakistan has been accused of exporting beggars to foreign nations. Now the Pakistani minister himself has accepted it in Parliament of the nation, showing serious concern about the nation. Pakistan-backed terrorists are already troubling many countries in the world, and the country’s beggars are also trying to migrate to Gulf nations. Despite being Muslim-majority countries still they expelled these Pakistani nationals.

Many Pakistanis travel abroad on various visas but later turn to begging. Some of them went on the name of employment but later were caught doing such activities and sent back.

According to Dawn News, Interior Minister Naqvi gave a written response in the National Assembly session that from January 2024 to now, a total of 5,402 Pakistani citizens have been deported from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Malaysia, Oman, Qatar, and the UAE for begging.

The UAE complained about the issue and put visa restrictions on Pakistani nationals.

Begging can be found in any region in Pakistan. Data shared by the Interior Minister shows that individuals from different parts of the country are involved in this trend like Sindh: 2,795 deportations, Punjab: 1,437 deportations, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 1,002 deportations, Balochistan: 125 deportations and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir had 33 deportations whereas Islamabad had 10 deportations.

While its citizens are expelled for begging, the Pakistani government is also facing major economic downfall. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) gave them a loan of $2.3 billion. As of 2024, Pakistan’s total external debt is $130 billion out of which 22% they owe to China.
