Odisha: Maoist Camp Busted in Balangir, Explosives Seized

Balangir: Security forces dismantled a Maoist camp in Odisha’s Balangir district during a combing operation in the Gandhamardan Hills and Chhatradandi forest, under Khaprakhol and Tureikela police jurisdictions.

The operation, led by the District Voluntary Force (DVF) and Special Operation Group (SOG), resulted in the recovery of a significant cache of explosives, including tiffin bombs, IEDs, and detonators.

Acting on intelligence about Maoist presence in the area, the forces launched a targeted search. Although the Maoists fled the scene, the seizure of dangerous materials marks a significant blow to their operations.
