MP May 16 Weather Updates: Storm And Rain Alert In 21 Districts Including Indore-Ujjain today; Bhopal Will Remain Hot
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heat wave i.e., hot winds blowing in the districts of the northern part from May 17.
The effect of heat will also be seen amidst the storm and rain in Madhya Pradesh. There may be rain in 21 districts including Indore, Ujjain on Friday, while Bhopal, Gwalior will be affected by heat.
The districts in which there is an alert of storm and rain on Friday include Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Barwani, Dhar, Dewas, Khargone, Harda, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Betul, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Umaria, Rewa, Mauganj.
On Thursday also, the state witnessed strong storm, rain and hot weather. More than one and a half inches of water fell in Seoni in 9 hours. At the same time, 0.75 inches of rain was recorded in the only hill station Pachmarhi.
Ujjain, Tikamgarh, Dhar, Mandla also received rain. The weather changed during the night in Betul, Jhabua, Ratlam, Ujjain, Burhanpur, Chhindwara, Harda, Alirajpur, Barwani, Khandwa, Khargone, Balaghat, Raisen, Narmadapuram and Indore districts.
Here, the effect of heat was seen in many cities on Thursday. Khajuraho recorded 43.4 degrees, Naugaon 42.7 degrees, Shivpuri-Rewa 42 degrees, Satna 41.6 degrees, Guna 41.3 degrees, Sidhi 41.2 degrees and Umaria recorded 40 degrees of mercury. Pachmarhi recorded the lowest temperature of 32.2 degrees Celsius.
Talking about the five big cities, Gwalior was the hottest. The temperature here was recorded at 43 degrees. The temperature in Bhopal was 37.3 degrees, Indore 36.4 degrees, Ujjain 37 degrees and Jabalpur 38.5 degrees Celsius.
According to Meteorologist, there is cyclonic circulation and turf activity in the state. Due to this, rain and storm are occurring.
The effect of heat will also increase in the next two-three days. The temperature in the northern part may increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.
