Government Committed To Overall Development Of Indore Area Says Chief Minister Mohan Yadav

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Chief minister Dr Mohan Yadav said here on Friday that Indore was a city of cleanliness, taste and good governance. A new history would be scripted in the state’s textile sector, with Indore as the epicentre.

Addressing the Textile Expo here, the CM reiterated that Indore Metropolitan Area would be developed by combining Indore, Ujjain, Dewas and Maksi etc. Infrastructure development would increase civic amenities. The state government would fulfill the resolution of overall development of Indore area, one of the two big metropolitan areas of the state.

Dr. Yadav said that the state was most favourable for industrial investment due to its location in the middle of the country and on account of workers, cooperative citizens, roads and other transport facilities and simplicity of administrative processes.

“Gujarat is an ideal for us. Madhya Pradesh is also working on the development of industries on the lines of Gujarat”, he said.

The CM said that factories were like temples. Just as temples and shrines were the centres of faith, factories were run with the sacred feeling of benefiting a large section of the society. A special campaign was going on in the state to make the industries benefit from the favourable policies and good governance implemented by the government. The industrialists who came to Madhya Pradesh became residents of this place, he said.

Raghvendra Kumar Singh, principal secretary, industrial policy and investment promotion, informed that an enabling, favourable and competitive industrial environment had been developed for investment in the state. The state was power surplus and green energy contributed 30% of the total power supply.

A.Ravi Kumar, executive director of Man Made Fibre Textiles (Matexil) gave detailed information about the journey of Matexil from its inception till present. He also explained the outline of Bharat Tax-2026.

Matexil’s former chairman Sanjeev Saran highlighted the role of Matexil and the relevance of events like Bharat Tax. Current chairman Shalin Toshniwal gave information about Matexil’s upcoming plans.
