Teacher booked for breaking hand of Class XI student in Jhajjar

A teacher at a private school in a Jhajjar village has been booked by the police for allegedly assaulting a Class XI student and breaking his hand. The action was taken following a complaint filed by the boy’s father, an ex-serviceman from Gurugram.

According to the complaint, the father was informed via phone by a teacher that his son had suffered a fracture.

“I rushed to the school and found my son admitted to a hospital run by the same group that operates the school. My son told me that the teacher, Sonu, had broken his hand,” the father said.

He further alleged that school staff intercepted him at the hospital and misbehaved with him and other family members during the visit.

“My son is now mentally disturbed due to the incident,” the father added, demanding that both the school principal and chairman also be held accountable.

The accused teacher has been identified as Sonu alias RS Rathor. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case under Section 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), Section 126 (wrongful restraint), and Section 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, along with Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.

Investigation is underway but no arrests have been made so far.
