Coffee Lovers, Rejoice! Starbucks Opens At Pune Airport Days After Udaan Yatra Café

In good news for coffee lovers, Starbucks, the popular coffee chain, has opened its latest outlet at the Pune International Airport in Lohegaon.

The announcement was made on the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of the airport. "Coffee lovers, big news! The grand inauguration of the Starbucks in the new terminal building of Pune Airport took place today! Whether you're on an early flight or waiting for a connection, your favourite cup of coffee is now just steps away," read the caption.

This comes only a few days after Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol inaugurated the Udaan Yatra Café at the airport. The café, located near the departure gate, provides affordable and cheap food items. Here, passengers can have tea for just Rs 10, while vada pav, coffee, samosas and sweets are available for Rs 20.

Mohol said this was a part of the ‘Udaan’ (Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik) scheme of the Central government, designed to make air travel affordable and comfortable for all passengers.

He informed that the café, which is already operational at airports in Kolkata, Chennai, and Ahmedabad, will be launched at Mumbai Airport as well.
