‘I will try my best’: Asaduddin Owaisi on his inclusion in all-party delegation

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi said he would try his best to fulfill his responsibility as he was included in an all-party delegation visiting key countries to brief them over India’s fight against terrorism.

Terming it as an “important” task, Owaisi said his job was to tell the world about how Pakistan wants to destabilise India. All facts will be presented on this visit, he added.

"This is not about any party affiliation. We will have a more detailed meeting before leaving... This is an important task. I will try my best to fulfil this responsibility well,” said Hyderabad MP who has been, otherwise, a staunch critic of the BJP.

The government is dispatching seven high-powered delegations—headed by four NDA MPs and three Opposition MP—to key countries to build consensus against cross-border terrorism.

The team in which Owaisi is included will be headed by Baijayant Jay Panda. It also comprised Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, Satnam Singh Sandhu, and Ghulam Nabi Azad.

"We are representing the government of India and our country... We are going to those countries to tell how our daughters are getting widowed, our children are being orphaned, and how Pakistan wants to destabilise our country,” Owaisi was quoted as saying by ANI.

He added that the attempts to destabilise India would also affect the whole world since the country is the fifth-largest economy.

“We will present the Indian government's vision to the best of our capability," he said.
