MP Amritpal’s aide not being treated well in jail: DSGMC
Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) alleged that jailed MP Amritpal Singh’s aide Papalpreet Singh was not being treated well in jail.
Manjit Singh Bhoma, Chairman of the Punjab Dharam Prachar Committee of the DSGMC, in a release issued here on Saturday claimed that the Ropar jail administration has transferred Papalpreet from Dibrugarh jail to Ropar jail in Punjab, and he was being kept under 24-hour detention in a cell. “He is neither being allowed to visit the Gurdwara nor is he being allowed to go to the jail hospital for treatment. He is a political prisoner and not an ordinary one.” said Bhoma.
Meanwhile, Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who is jailed for heinous crimes, was being given VIP facilities, he added.
He appealed to Jail Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar to immediately remove the restrictions imposed on Papalpreet by issuing instructions to the Superintendent of Ropar jail.
