Security Alert: NIA Raids Residences of Two Suspected Hizb-ul Militants in Jammu and Kashmir

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted intensive raids at multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday in connection with a terror conspiracy case. Acting on intelligence inputs, NIA officials raided the residences of two suspected Hizb-ul-Mujahideen operatives in the Kishtwar district. The suspects were identified as Ashfaq Ahmed Dar and Abdul Rashid, both previously associated with terror-related activities in the region. The raids were part of an ongoing crackdown on terrorist networks operating within India and aimed at dismantling the support infrastructure of proscribed organisations like Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. Officials seized digital devices, documents, and other incriminating material during the searches. The case is linked to the larger terror conspiracy involving recruitment of youth, radicalisation, and supply of arms and funds to active militants.Sources said that both suspects were under the NIA’s radar for months due to their alleged communication with Pakistan-based handlers and active role in supporting terror activities. These raids are seen as a significant step in curbing the spread of militancy in the Jammu region, which has seen a resurgence of extremist activity in recent months.Further investigations are underway, and more arrests are likely in the coming days.
