Hailing from Giridih district of Jharkhand, Shruti Agrawal commenced her education at St. Francis School in Deoghar. She was a bright student from a young age. Shruti moved to Bokaro after completing her Class 10th to continue her further studies.

After completing her intermediate studies in Bokaro, Shruti moved to Delhi, where she took admission at Miranda House, one of Delhi University’s and the country’s top colleges. During her time there, Shruti was actively involved in cultural activities. According to the NavBharatTimes report, after graduating from Miranda House, Shruti dedicated herself to preparing for the UPSC examination. Although she faced setbacks in her first two attempts, she did not lose hope.

The report further mentioned that Shruti Agrawal prepared for the Mains exam solely, selecting and studying her optional subject on her own. She sought coaching only for the General Studies (GS) section. Ultimately, her dedication and hard work paid off, leading to success on her third attempt.

Shruti was known as a star student in acting and dance and was popular among everyone in her college. In fact, after joining the civil services, she continued to pursue her love for dance and acting. During her training at the LBSNAA civil services academy, Shruti actively took part in drama and dance performances.

Shruti secured the All India Rank(AIR) 506 in the UPSC Civil Services(Main) Examination 2022. She belonged to the EWS category.

She secured 755 marks in the written examination, 193 marks in the personality test. Overall, Shruti secured 948 marks in the UPSC Civil Services(Main) Examination 2022.
