Channi beli in HP emerges as major hub for illicit liquor trade: 40% of brewers are women, says Punjab police

Following the Majitha tragedy, Pathankot police uncovered a major illicit liquor operation in Channi Beli, Himachal Pradesh. The raid revealed that nearly every other home in the village was involved in brewing liquor, with over forty percent of those involved being women. Authorities seized significant quantities of lahan and ethyl alcohol, used to produce the dangerous brew.
