Bhubaneswar: BJD President and Leader of Opposition in Odisha Assembly Naveen Patnaik has congratulated Indian Football Team on winning SAFF U19 Championship 2025 after defeating Bangladesh 4-3 in penalty shootout.

The Indian men’s football team won the SAFF U19 Championship 2025 title after defeating Bangladesh 4-3 on penalties at the Golden Jubilee Stadium in Yupia, Arunachal Pradesh.

Defending champions India made the final with a commanding 3-0 victory against the Maldives in the semi-finals. Earlier in the tournament, the Indian U19 football team topped Group B after defeating Sri Lanka 8-0 and Nepal 4-0.
