Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi hails Konark Corps for blunting Pakistan attacks during Op Sindoor

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Upendra Dwivedi, on Monday, visited Longewala in the forward areas of the Konark Corps to congratulate the troops for the role they played in Operation Sindoor.
Also referred to as the Desert Corps because their primary operational area is the desert regions of Rajasthan and Gujarat—stretching from Jaisalmer to Kutch—Konark Corps are responsible for defending the country's western borders.
The Army chief also reviewed the joint actions undertaken in coordination with the Indian Air Force and the Border Security Force during the military stand-off with Pakistan.
The desert saw a swift and coordinated operational response from the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and BSF.
The Army said the joint actions of the three security forces blunted Pakistan's intent and established a new normal in maintaining operational dominance along the Western front.
According to news agency AN, during his interaction with the soldiers, the Army chief acknowledged their commitment and determination to defend the international boundary and how they thwarted the nefarious designs of Pakistan.
He also hailed the morale and professionalism of the commanders and units and the coordinated execution of operational plans.
A few days ago, he had visited the forward areas in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district and praised the troops for dominating the Line of Control during Operation Sindoor.
