Punjab News: Beating Retreat Ceremony Resumes At Wagah-Attari Border After 12-Day Suspension (VIDEO)
The Border Security Force (BSF) has announced the resumption of ceremonial evening retreat at all three Joint Check Posts (JCPs) along the Punjab frontier
The daily evening flag-lowering ceremony of the BSF and Pakistan's Punjab Rangers was open only to government officials, journalists and visitors with special clearances.
The public will be allowed to attend the ceremony starting from May 21.
The retreat ceremony, a popular attraction showcasing the military discipline and cultural pride of India, is conducted jointly by the BSF and their Pakistani counterparts at designated border points.
BSF had halted the retreat ceremony at the Attari border on May 8 following Operation Sindoor, a military response to the tragic April 22 Pahalgam attack that claimed 26 lives.
