Heavy Rain Update: Alert issued for heavy rain and hailstorm in this state, know the weather condition

Monsoon Date: IMD informed on Tuesday that conditions are likely to be favourable for the arrival of monsoon in Kerala during the next 4-5 days.

Monsoon Date 2025: Monsoon may arrive in Kerala ahead of schedule this year by May 25. IMD i.e. India Meteorological Department has expressed this possibility. The normal date of arrival of monsoon in Kerala is June 1. Earlier, the Meteorological Department had expressed the possibility that the monsoon could reach the coast of Kerala by May 27.

How will the weather be

IMD has informed on Tuesday that conditions are likely to be favorable for the arrival of monsoon in Kerala during the next 4-5 days. Heavy to very heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely over Northeast India and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 3 days. The Meteorological Department has also informed that heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur over the West Coast (Karnataka, Konkan and Goa and Kerala) and Peninsular India during May 20 to 26.

Weather of Northwest India

The IMD said on Tuesday that there are chances of thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds in Himachal Pradesh on 23 and 24 May, Uttarakhand during 21 to 26 May. Thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds are likely in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during 20 to 26 May. Heavy rains are expected at some places in Uttarakhand on 23 and 24 May.

Red alert for four districts of Kerala

The department said that favorable conditions have been created for the arrival of monsoon in Kerala within the next 4-5 days. The department has issued a red alert for Kasaragod, Kannur, Wayanad and Kozhikode districts of Kerala and an orange alert for Palakkad, Malappuram and Thrissur. Meanwhile, heat wave conditions are also likely to persist in areas of North India including Rajasthan.
