‘The Bear’ Season 4 trailer: Fans get glimpse of new chapter ahead of June 25 premiere

“Buongiorno tutti!”
The Internet’s favourite chefs are back at it! On Tuesday, American television channel FX released the official trailer for The Bear season 4. The series, set to premiere this year on June 25, gives the audience an insight into the daily running of a culinary establishment in the heart of Chicago.
The trailer opens in a rather empathetic tone with Jeremy Allen White’s character Carmy saying, “People go to restaurants to be taken care of, to relax, to not have to think about anything else for a minute.” This quickly transitions into an intense tone with Cicero, played by Oliver Platt, putting the whole team on a timer. “When that shows zero, this restaurant needs to cease operations,” says Cicero.
From its first season, the series followed the journey of renowned chef Carmy who came back to his roots hoping to resurrect his family’s restaurant. He is forced to manage the crippling realities surrounding the joint all while finding a balance with the team and their dire financial crisis.
“The pursuit of excellence isn’t just about getting better – it’s about deciding what’s worth holding on to,” said the creators in a statement about the new season.
The comedy-drama also majorly follows Sydney, the deuteragonist, who joins Carmy as his second-in-command. Played by Ayo Edebiri, Sydney is portrayed as an ambitious and dedicated character who tries tirelessly to maximize the team’s potential.
The constant survival mode and the adrenaline rush in the series support the central idea of a struggling restaurant that is trying to break into the fine-dine sector.
Created by Christopher Storer, the series also stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Liza Colón-Zayas, Lionel Boyce, Abby Elliot, Matty Matheson, Edwin Lee Gibson, Ricky Staffieri, Molly Gordon and more. Christopher Storer also contributed significantly as a director, with some episodes directed by Joanna Calo, Ramy Youssef, Ayo Edebiri, and Duccio Fabbri.
The trailer also features Academy Award-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis, in the guest role as the family’s matriarch. Other guest stars include Olivia Colman, Sarah Paulson, John Cena, John Mulaney, and Molly Ringwald.
Thanks to the talented cast and the compelling storyline, the series instantly became a major hit among the masses and at the awards season. It has bagged a total of 21 Primetime Emmy Awards in its three-year run and also 5 Golden Globe Awards, including acting wins for both Carmy and Sydney.
“There’s one really true thing about restaurants, you are never alone,” says Carmy as the trailer ends.
