DC holds meeting of Sainik Jan Samvad Samiti

Deputy Commissioner Parth Gupta held a meeting of Sainik Jan Samvad Samiti in the auditorium of the District Sainik and Paramilitary Welfare Department in Yamunanagar today.

At the meeting, he instructed the officers of the local administration to give adequate respect to ex-servicemen and their dependents and to solve their problems quickly.

“The objective of the meeting of Sainik Jan Samvad Samiti was to honour the ex-servicemen and their families who protected the country’s borders. Besides, the objective was also to listen to their problems in a better way and solve these in a timely manner,” said Gupta. He said the problems of the ex-servicemen were being solved in the office of Sainik Welfare Department on the third Wednesday of every month.

On the occasion, Ranjeet Singh of Ahluwala village raised the problem of waterlogging in the crematorium.

The DC directed SDM Jagadhri Sonu Ram to get it investigated immediately and solve the problem.

The ex-service men raised the problem of getting the name corrected in the property ID, on which the Deputy Commissioner directed the Municipal Corporation officials to solve these.

At the meeting, the ex-servicemen raised a demand to build a stadium on panchayat land at Kalawad village and build a martyr’s memorial in Yamunanagar.

Gupta assured them that a sports stadium and a martyr’s memorial would be built.
