IN a tribute to the undying spirit of patriotism and to honour the bravehearts of the nation, the Ministry of Culture has launched a powerful initiative, ‘Ek Desh Ek Dhadkan’ (One Nation, One Heartbeat). As part of the campaign, all 43 institutions under its aegis of the ministry have changed their display pictures (DPs) to Tiranga.

Among the prominent cultural institutions and heritage sites that have been illuminated in the colours of the Indian flag are: Victoria Memorial (West Bengal), Salarjung Museum (Andhra Pradesh), NGMA Delhi, and Regional Science Centre, Lucknow. The National Archives of India has also joined in by lighting up its iconic building.

Under the supervision of the Archaeological Survey of India, more than 60 heritage monuments across the country have been lit with Tricolor. These include Red Fort, Qila Rai Pithora, Safdarjung Tomb, and Purana Qila in Delhi. Among the others are: Kumbhalgarh, (Chittorgarh) and Fort Ghanta in Rajasthan, Gulab Badi (UP) Udaygiri Caves (Odisha), Ashokan Column (Bihar), Rahatgarh Fort (Madhya Pradesh and Fort Ballarpur (Maharashtra), Rang Ghar (Assam), Chitradurga Fort (Karnataka), and Leh Palace in Leh.
