Intruder claiming to be a fan apprehended at Salman Khan’s Bandra home

Reports have emerged that a 23-year-old man tried to enter Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence by breaking into the apartment compound earlier this week. According to NDTV, the man was seen attempting to enter actor’s adobe at 7:15pm on Tuesday night (May 20), after which he was apprehended and detained by Bandra police.

The man, identified as Jitendra Kumar Singh, was first seen lurking around in front of Khan’s Galaxy Apartments on Tuesday morning around 9:45am. A police officer, part of Khan’s security team, asked the man to leave. In a fit of rage, he smashed his mobile phone on the ground. Later that evening, he entered the apartment compound using a car belonging to a Galaxy Apartment tenant. He was swiftly apprehended by security at the gate and handed over to Bandra police.

 

The man, hailing from Chhattisgarh, claimed to be a fan of the actor. During an interrogation, he told the police, "The police were not letting me meet him so I was trying to hide.” A case was filed against him, and further investigation is underway, the police confirmed.

Additionally, Times of India reported that a woman from Khar has also been arrested for trying to enter Khan’s home.

 

The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor has been travelling with beefed-up security since the death of his close friend and politician Baba Siddique, who was assassinated by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The gang has had a target on Khan’s back ever since the Blackbuck shooting case in 1998. The animal is considered sacred in the Bishnoi community.
