Bengaluru Weather Report: City To Experience Moderate To Heavy Rainfall Till May 25; Check Temperatures, Humidity & More

Bengaluru: The city is set to experience moderate to heavy rainfall on Friday, May 23, 2025. The city woke up at 05: 53 AM with cloudy skies this morning and it is likely to remain the same throughout the day. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range from 21 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The city is expected to witness the sunset at 06: 40 PM. The residents will not get respite from the humidity and it is likely to be around 82 per cent.

An orange alert has been issued in the state

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in coastal areas, North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka, as heavy rainfall is likely with thunderstorms and lightning in these regions. Light to moderate rainfall is likely to occur in isolated regions with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 50-60 km/h.

Rainfall is predicted in these regions

The rainfall is likely to occur in Bagalkote, Kalaburagi, Haveri, Raichur, Yadgir, Shivamogga, Belagavi, and Chikkamagluru, among others. Due to rainfall, there will be a possibility of temporary disruption of electricity in some areas, uprooting of weak trees, and minor traffic snarls.

KSNDMC shared a weather report on X

Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X (formerly Twitter) for seven days and wrote, "Today's #WeatherForecast: Scattered thunder, lightning storm with wind speed of 40-50 kmph is likely to occur over the state with widespread moderate rain and scattered heavy to very heavy rain. #KSNDMC."

IMD issued an advisory to stay cautious

The Regional Meteorological Department (RMC) issued an advisory for residents. The weather department has requested residents to stay indoors and avoid travel if possible. Take safe shelter, and do not take shelter under trees. As soon as rain hits, unplug the electronic appliances immediately and keep yourself away from all the objects that conduct electricity.
