Dinanagar SDM receives Army Commendation
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Dinanagar, Jaspinder Singh, was conferred the Army Commendation by the General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, for the cooperation extended by the district administration to the Armed Forces during the recent hostilities between India and Pakistan.
In the run-up to the war, teams from the civil administration, police and the Army jointly surveyed strategic routes. These routes, after being reviewed, were improved upon ensuring swift and smooth coordination between the stakeholders. Government buildings too were made available to the Army for logistical support. Rural labour was also mobilised to assist in ground preparations.
SDM Jaspinder Singh was an integral part of the exercise.
Prominent among others who helped the Army from the side of the administration were Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dalwinderjit Singh, ADC (General) Harjinder Singh Bedi and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Aditya.
