Mumbai: Undertrial Accused Imran Khan Allegedly Threatens MNS Leader Amit Matkar From Arthur Road Jail, 2 Contables Suspended; Video Viral

Mumbai: In a serious breach of police protocol, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Kamgar Sena Vice President Amit Matkar was allegedly threatened inside his office at Saat Rasta by an undertrial prisoner.

The accused, identified as Imran Khan, is currently lodged at Arthur Road Jail. The incident has raised major concerns over how an undertrial managed to issue threats from behind bars, leading to questions about lapses in jail security and communication monitoring.

2 Constables Suspended Over Security Lapse In Imran Khan Threat Case

Police constables Amol Sarkale and Sandeep Suryawanshi have been immediately suspended in connection with the recent security breach involving undertrial Imran Khan, who allegedly threatened MNS Kamgar Sena Vice President Amit Matkar while on a court visit.

According to police sources, Amol Sarkale had been posted in the Local Arms (LA) division for the past five to six years, while Sandeep Suryawanshi had been serving there for the past eight to nine months.A preliminary inquiry against both Police Constable is currently being conducted by a Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP).
