Pune: Complaint Filed After Balewadi's Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Listed As 'Chhatrapati Aurangzeb Alamgir Sports Complex' On Google Maps
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amol Balwadkar on Friday filed a complaint at Baner Police Station after it was found that Balewadi's Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex was listed as 'Chhatrapati Aurangzeb Alamgir Sports Complex' on Google Maps.
Taking to Instagram, Balwadkar wrote, "Today, it was noticed that some miscreants have changed the name of Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex at Balewadi to 'Chhatrapati Aurangzeb Alamgir Sports Complex' on Google Maps. Also, many complaints were made to me by Shiv bhakts, athletes, villagers and citizens in this regard. Acting upon it, I immediately met Senior Police Inspector Chandrashekhar Sawant at Baner Police Station and gave a written complaint."
"In this way, by using Google Map location edit and misusing technology, some miscreants are trying to create a rift in society, but I demand that the culprits be immediately found and action taken against them as soon as possible," he added.
