India’s strategic requirements secure post Operation Sindoor: Govt source
Top government sources stated on Friday that India’s strategic requirements will be fully met, and every arrangement will be made to ensure the armed forces have the necessary resources to defend national sovereignty. Following the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir and the subsequent national response through Operation Sindoor, a senior official source stated that the military’s precision strike on nine terror hubs inside Pakistan and PoK, as well as the four-day conflict between India and Pakistan, would have “no impact on the Indian economy”.
India has clarified that Operation Sindoor has been paused but not concluded, and the future of the ongoing pause in hostilities with Pakistan will depend on Pakistan’s conduct. The top source added that Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has already authorised the three service chiefs with emergency procurement powers under the defence contingency fund.
“The necessary mechanisms and resources are already in place as a routine measure. We do not anticipate a significant additional demand at this moment; however, India’s strategic requirements will be fully met,” said the top government source.
