Bachchan family’s educational qualifications: Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Shweta Bachchan, Navya Nanda, who is most educated?

For fans of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, catching a glimpse of him is nothing less than a festival. Every day, Starstruck fans from various cities gathered outside the megastar’s ‘Jalsa’ residence just to get a glimpse of him. Often referred to as the “Shahenshah” (Emperor) of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan has appeared in more than 200 films. But do you know who is the most educated in the Bachchan Family?

Beyond acting, Amitabh Bachchan has also been a television host, playback singer, film producer, and former politician. Bachchan finished his primary and secondary education at Boys’ High School. He attended college in Allahabad and  Sherwood College in Nainital. Speaking about his higher studies, “Shahenshah” (Emperor) of Bollywood pursued his Bachelor’s degree in Science from Kirori Mal College in Delhi.

Acclaimed actor Abhishek Bachchan went to Bombay Scottish School and Aiglon College in Switzerland to complete his education. Speaking about his educational qualification, Abhishek went to Modern School in Vasant Vihar and Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai. For higher studies, the ‘Guru’ actor enrolled in business administration at Boston University but dropped out to pursue his career in acting.

Jaya Bachchan, wife of superstar Amitabh Bachchan, finished her schooling from St. Joseph’s Convent School, Bhopal. She went to the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts. Jaya Bachchan was last seen in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani’ alongside Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi in Karan Johar’s directorial.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the former Miss World, decided to walk the Cannes red carpet this year in an elegant ivory sari that she styled with her traditional Indian jewelry and a striking sindoor on her forehead. Speaking of her educational qualification, the ‘PS-1’ actor finished her schooling at Arya Vidya Mandir High School in Mumbai. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan began her college journey at Jai Hind College and later transferred to DG Ruparel College in Mumbai, where she excelled academically and scored impressively in her higher secondary exams. She enrolled at the Rachana Sansad Academy of Architecture, aiming to pursue a career in architecture. Later, she dropped out to venture in modelling.

She made her acting debut with director Mani Ratnam’s Tamil political drama ‘Iruvar’ in 1997 and post that she was seen in many big Hindi films like ‘Devdas’, ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, ‘Mohabbatein’, ‘Guru’, ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, ‘Taal’ and many more. She was recently seen in south director Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus period drama film ‘Ponniyin Selvan – 1’ which gathered massive responses from the audience.

Shweta Bachchan Nanda, the daughter of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, began her academic journey at Modern School in New Delhi and later attended the prestigious Doon School in Dehradun. She went on to pursue higher education and successfully completed her Master’s degree in Business Administration.

Navya, granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, may belong to a family of actors, but she has carved a niche for herself by pursuing her passion for entrepreneurship. In 2021, she launched Project Naveli to fight gender inequality in the country, reported news agency ANI. She is also known for hosting a podcast, What The Hell Navya, which featured Shweta and Jaya Bachchan. Navya joined the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad for a BPGP MBA last year.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Navya Naveli Nanda completed her Bachelor’s degree in Digital Technology & UX Design from Fordham University in New York City.

Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda finished his schooling at Sevenoaks School in London. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan’s daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, studies at Dhirubhai Ambani International School.

Harivansh Rai Bachchan, the famous Indian poet, was the father of megastar Amitabh Bachchan. He pursued higher studies at Allahabad University and Banaras Hindu University, later earning a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
