Two arrested with stolen bike

The police have arrested two persons in a case of motorcycle theft. The complainant, Rajaram, had stated that his bike was stolen from his residence in Mauli Jagran on May 21. The suspects, identified as Kuldeep Singh, alias Deepa, 21, and Vijay, alias Jassa, 36, both residents of Ferozepur district in Punjab, were nabbed near Sukhna Choe at Makhan Majra in Mauli Jagran while riding the stolen bike on Friday. The suspects were produced in a court, which sent them to 14-days judicial custody.

Man arrested in excise case

A Mauli Jagran resident has been arrested with 50 nips of country-made liquor. The suspect, identified as Ramfal Singh, 36, was nabbed near the slaughter house in the Industrial Area, Phase 1, on Friday. A case has been registered under Sections 61, 1, and 14 of the Excise Act at the Industrial Area police station.
