Madhya Pradesh is investigating the suspicious deaths of heritage-breed racehorses secretly transported from Hyderabad to Jabalpur. Authorities are probing the circumstances of the transport without proper medical and transport clearances. Following a tip from Maneka Gandhi, officials discovered the horses, some seriously ill, at a Raipura village stud farm, where eight died despite treatment efforts.
