Breaking News: Heavy Rain Causes Severe Waterlogging and Traffic Disruptions in Delhi

Following heavy rainfall in Delhi, several areas have experienced severe waterlogging, leading to significant traffic disruptions. Locations such as Minto Road, Dholakuva, Dwarka, Mahipalpur, and Ring Road are facing a massive water accumulation problem. These areas are completely submerged, causing major delays and slow traffic movement.One of the worst-hit spots is the Dholakuva to Delhi Camp underpass, which has been completely flooded. A bus and a car are stranded in the submerged underpass, unable to move as the water continues to accumulate. Despite hours passing since the rain stopped, there has been no temporary pumping system set up to remove the water. The underpass has been closed and barricades have been put in place to prevent vehicles from entering.In other parts of the city, Minto Road, Dholakuva, and Ring Road are experiencing extreme slowdowns as traffic crawls through waterlogged streets. The drainage system seems to have failed, with roads submerged and no clear path for water drainage.The Delhi government is under pressure to address these ongoing issues, with the drainage system revealing serious flaws that need immediate attention. Commuters are facing immense hardship as traffic moves at a snail's pace and getting from central Delhi to areas affected by waterlogging is taking more than an hour instead of the usual 20-25 minutes.As the rainwater continues to sit on the roads, the situation is worsening, with the public demanding urgent action from authorities. The lack of proper water drainage in these areas is exposing Delhi's vulnerabilities, especially in the monsoon season.
