CM Saini backs PM’s caste census move at NDA meet
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for the “historic decision" to conduct a nationwide caste census, calling it a landmark step towards social justice and empowerment of the most deprived sections of society.
Speaking at the meeting of Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of NDA-ruled states in New Delhi, chaired by the Prime Minister, Saini said the initiative would help ensure that rights and opportunities reach the people who need them most.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown visionary leadership by taking the historic decision of conducting a nationwide caste census,” said Saini.
“This is an unprecedented step towards social justice and will pave the way for rights and opportunities for the most deprived and neglected sections of society.”
During the meeting, a resolution was passed commending the bravery of the Indian armed forces during Operation Sindoor and acknowledging the bold leadership of PM Modi.
Saini highlighted that the government’s core mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ was clearly reflected in the caste census move.
He emphasised that the census would help in accurately assessing the socio-economic condition of various communities, making development schemes more targeted and effective.
“This is part of the government’s vision, which focuses on providing equal opportunity and respect to every Indian,” he said.
Saini also targeted the Opposition, saying the Congress only did politics over the caste census without taking concrete action.
He cited several Central welfare initiatives as proof of the government’s commitment to the underprivileged, including the Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana, and Jan Dhan Yojana.
