9,896 cases settled in Fatehgarh Sahib during National Lok Adalat
As many as 9,896 of the 10,918 cases taken up were settled during the National Lok Adalat, which was held at Sessions Division Fatehgarh Sahib and Sub-Division Amloh and Khamanon to ensure speedy and hassle-free dispensation of justice.
Arun Gupta, District and Session Judge-cum-Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority, said a total of 10 benches were constituted to facilitate the participants.
He said during the National Lok Adalat, remarkable achievements were made as peace and harmony was restored when estranged couples were reunited. They were presented a sapling by the court.
Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority Ashok Kumar Chauhan, meanwhile, urged the people to take benefit of Lok Adalats as the cases are disposed of quickly and litigants get justice. He further added taht here was no court fee for filing a case and the judgment of the Court has the recognition of the decree of the Civil Court.
