LEAD launches 2nd edition of Annual Smarika at Amar Singh Club

JAMMU, May 25: LEAD – LJK Economic Growth & Development Dialogue – launched the second edition of its Annual Smarika at a special event held at Amar Singh Club here today.
The Smarika documents LEAD’s extensive engagement with communities, institutions and individuals across Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir. It highlights work in entrepreneurship, rural development, policy advocacy and cooperative action, showcasing the organization’s commitment to inclusive economic transformation in the region.
Dr Devansh Yadav, CEO of Jammu Smart City Limited and Commissioner of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), served as the chief guest. Sharing insights on the Machail Mata Prasad Project-a flagship initiative under the LJK Multipurpose Cooperative, a vertical of LEAD-Dr Yadav expressed interest in collaborating with LEAD on cultural projects like the Aarti tradition from Jammu to Lakhanpur, and other developmental initiatives.
Rajesh Gupta, Senior Board Member, opened the event by welcoming guests and acknowledging the contributions of the LEAD family. Harinder Gupta, Convenor and Senior Board Member, outlined major initiatives that are shaping the socio-economic landscape of the region.

Col Ajatshatru Jamwal, who heads LEAD’s cooperative sector, spoke on projects such as the LJK Store and the Machail Prasad Project-both successful models of community participation and efficient service delivery. Sanjeev Sharma, Board Member and coordinator for this year’s Smarika, presented an overview of the publication.
Manish Ahluwalia, Director at LEAD, emphasized the need for active member participation and readiness to address upcoming challenges in technology, environment, and society. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Rajeev Gupta, who reiterated the commitment to LEAD’s mission of inclusive growth and regional progress.
The launch saw the presence of core members Vikram Gujral, Surinder Mohan Gupta, Alankrit Mahajan and Kamal Kishore Sharma. Sector coordinators included Suneel Mahajan (Handloom & Handicraft), Ramesh Kumar Chibber (Cooperative & Financial Services), Ashish Gupta (IT Sector), Vishal Abrol (Real Estate & Housing), Gaurav Abrol (Education), Gaurav Gupta (Healthcare & AYUSH), Raman Suri (Traders Sector), Rajesh Jain (Manufacturing Sector) and Rahat Gupta (Power Sector), along with several co-coordinators and members.
