Haryana Shocker: 7 Members Of Family Found Dead In Car In Panchkula; Police Suspect Suicide
Panchkula: A shocking incident surfaced from Haryana's Panchkula, where seven members of a family allegedly died by suicide by consuming poison. According to reports, the family hailed from Uttarakhand's Dehradun. The incident took place in Panchkula's Sector 27.
The family had come to Panchkula to attend a religious event. They consumed poison in a car. Reports claimed that the family members took the extreme step due to heavy debt and financial crisis.

The deceased have been identified as Praveen Mittal, his parents, wife and children. Panic gripped the area following the incident. The deceased included two minor girls and their 14-year-old brother, reported Hindustan Times. The windshield of the car was reportedly covered with a towel. A passer-by noticed the car and then informed the police as he discovered seven unconscious people inside the vehicle.
Senior police officials rushed to the spot after receiving the information. A suicide note was reportedly recovered by the police.
"We received information that six people have been brought to Ojas Hospital. When we reached here, we found out that they were all dead. Another person was brought to the Civil Hospital, Sector 6; he has also been declared dead," DCP Panchkula Himadri Kaushik said as reported by ANI.
"Prima facie, it looks like a matter of suicide. All the investigating officers are at the spot...All of the deceased are family members," she added.
A team of forensic officials was also involved in the investigation. All the bodies have been kept in a mortuary of a private hospital.
