Mumbai: A threat call received today around 9 AM by the Mumbai Police control room has triggered a security scare after an unidentified caller threatened to bomb the Mumbai International Airport. The call, made by an unknown individual, claimed that explosives had been planted and that the airport would be blown up.
Following the threat, an FIR was registered against the unidentified caller, and a case has been filed under relevant sections pertaining to criminal intimidation and public mischief.
Police officials have confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway, with multiple agencies, including the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and airport security, placed on high alert. The call is being traced, and efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend the suspect.
