US grants EU tariff extension till July 9

Brussels: Trump backed away from his threat to impose 50% tariffs on imports from the European Union next month, restoring a July 9 deadline to allow for talks to produce a deal. This comes after Trump, who has repeatedly expressed disdain for the EU, relented after European Commission President told him that the EU needed more time to come to an agreement.

‘Will redirect Harvard funds to tech schools’

Washington: Trump said on Monday he is considering taking $3 billion of previously awarded grant money for scientific and engineering research away from Harvard University and giving it to technical/trade schools. His comments come less than a week after his administration sought to block the Ivy League school from enrolling foreign students.
