Tragedy in Panchkula: 7 Family Members Found Dead in Car, Suicide Suspected | ABP NEWS

A shocking incident unfolded in Sector 27 of Panchkula, Haryana, where seven members of a family were found dead inside a parked car. Upon receiving the alert, senior police officials rushed to the scene and launched a detailed investigation. Initial reports suggest the possibility of mass suicide, though multiple theories have since emerged. One angle indicates financial distress as the cause, while another points to prolonged family disputes. The family was initially believed to be based in Dehradun but is now said to have been living in Chandigarh. It was also first claimed that they ran a tour and travel business, though some sources now say they were operating an NGO. According to a local witness, the car had a mobile tower device for tracking. He became suspicious when the people inside the vehicle didn’t respond normally. When checked, he found some had vomited over each other, and one man admitted they had all consumed poison. A suicide note found at the scene supports this claim. Police also revealed that the deceased, Praveen Mittal, had recently invested heavily in a new business which failed. The family had shifted from Dehradun months ago. Investigations are ongoing to establish the exact cause.
