Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Corona Cases Rising Again! CSMC On High Alert — ICU Beds Ready, Public Urged To Mask Up

The Corona patients are once again increasing in the state. Against this backdrop, the health machinery is on alert mode. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC) has started the screening of the Corona suspects. The Government Medical College and Hospital’s (GMCH) has also started the preparations to tackle the Corona menace. A 33 beds ICU and ward has been kept ready at the Super Speciality Hospital in GMCH, said dean Dr Shivaji Sukre.

Considering the increased Corona spread in the state, a review meeting was held at GMCH on Monday. Discussions on the planning of the treatment to be provided to the Corona patients if they come for treatment in large numbers was held. The facilities of RTPCR test, oxygen cylinders, treatment facility and medicines are kept available during the emergency. The swab tests of the suspects have already started, the sources said.

Meanwhile, the administration has appealed to residents to take precautions to prevent the spread of the Corona.

They are advised to use masks at crowded places and public gatherings. They should restrict themselves to go in crowded places and follow social distancing. Use of sanitizers and washing hands frequently is advised. In case of coughing and sneezing, a handkerchief should be used. If any symptoms are found, people should not neglect it and take medical advice immediately. They should not neglect the symptoms like coughing, sneezing, tiredness, respiration problems and others and should go to the doctors immediately.
