Mother’s confession leads to arrest of 5 in teenager’s murder case

In a shocking case of murder disguised as a road accident, the Guhla police have arrested five individuals, including two women, in connection with the death of a 15-year-old girl. The crime came to light after the victim’s mother confessed during her daughter’s ‘rasam kriya’ on Sunday that the girl had not died in an accident but was killed as part of a planned conspiracy.

According to the Kaithal police spokesperson, a man from Yamunanagar district filed a complaint stating that on May 19, his wife left home with their daughter, saying they were going to a ‘satsang’ in Kurukshetra. The next day, when he called his wife, she claimed they were still at the ‘satsang’ and would return the following day. Later, she returned home, claiming the girl had died in a road accident. The family performed her last rites, believing the story. However, the mother’s changing statements about the incident raised suspicion. During the ‘rasam kriya’ ritual on Sunday, the mother confessed to the crime.

She revealed that her co-worker, Rekha, from Bakana village, had introduced her to Laddi of Hansumajra in Kaithal, with whom she developed a physical relationship. Later, Laddi threatened to expose the affair unless she brought her daughter to him. Rekha also pressured her to agree. On May 19, under the pretext of a ‘satsang’, she and Rekha took the girl to Laddi’s house, where she gave the girl a powder provided by Laddi. After Laddi entered the girl’s room and screams were heard, they rushed in. Laddi gave them another dose, which they forced the girl to swallow, and she began foaming at the mouth.

Laddi’s brother, Ranjeet, called a local doctor, Rajesh, who administered an injection, after which the girl died. They then called another Ranjeet, a driver, and a neighbour, Mithu, and the group dumped the body at the Dhaulra bus stop to make it look like an accident. They sent the mother home afterward.

A Zero FIR was initially filed at Radaur and later transferred to Guhla. Sub-inspector Vijender Singh and his team arrested all five accused: the mother of the girl, Rekha, Rajesh, Ranjeet, and Ranjeet Singh.
