Attention Thanekars! TMC Announces Majiwada Flyover To Remain Closed At Night From May 28-31 For Metro Work; Check Timings & Alternate Routes
Thane: The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) has issued a traffic advisory for a complete traffic night closure on the Majiwada Flyover due to metro construction work scheduled from May 28 to May 31. The closure will affect all vehicles travelling from Mumbai towards Nashik, Ghodbunder, and Bhiwandi via the Majiwada Bridge.
Traffic restrictions will be enforced in night from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM between May 28 and May 31. According to the advisory released by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pankaj Shirsat, the work involves erecting columns, jack beams, and rafters for the roof of the upcoming Majiwada Metro Station, located within the Kapurbawdi Traffic Sub-Division.
The heavy lifting will be executed using a 60-tonne mobile crane placed on the main route of the Mumbai-Nashik-Ghodbunder highway near the Jupiter Y Junction.
Check Closure And Alternate Routes
Entry Closed: All types of vehicles going from Mumbai to Ghodbunder or Bhiwandi via Majiwada Udan Bridge via Jupiter Y Junction are being 'Entry Closed' near the divider at the beginning of the bridge climb in front of Viviana Mall.
Alternative Route: All types of vehicles going through the said route will proceed straight ahead on the slip road in front of Jupiter Hospital and proceed to the desired destination via Kapurbavdi Circle.
Entry Closed: All types of vehicles going from Mumbai to Nashik via Majiwada Udan Bridge via Jupiter Y Junction are being 'Entry Closed' near the divider at the beginning of the bridge climb in front of Viviana Mall.
Alternative Route: All types of vehicles going on this route will proceed straight ahead via the slip road in front of Jupiter Hospital and go to the desired destination via Golden Causeway.
