Shah likely to visit Jammu tomorrow

In his first visit to Jammu and Kashmir after India launched Operation Sindoor against Pakistan, Union Home Minister Amit Shah is likely to visit the UT on May 29 and 30.

Shah besides holding a security review in Jammu is also expected to meet the families of the victims of Pakistani shelling in Poonch district. Many homes were also damaged in Pakistani shelling in Poonch on May 7.

Shah is also expected to hold a security review meeting in which Lt Governor Manoj Sinha is also expected to be present besides top brass of J&K police, paramilitary forces and Army officials.

Shah during his earlier visits to the UT had asked the security forces to eliminate the Pakistani terrorists hiding in forest areas of Jammu division who from time to time attack Army convoys and civilians in different districts of the region.

Trinamool Congress had also sent a delegation of its leaders who visited Rajouri and Poonch districts and interacted with locals.
