Ludhiana: Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust invites applications for Satya scholarship

In line with its commitment to empower young minds, the Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust has launched its flagship initiative, ‘Satya Scholarship Programme’. The merit-cum-means scholarship aims to support deserving students, especially girl students, from a diverse socio-economic background in Ludhiana. Applications are now invited and eligible students can apply online for the programme until July 31 this year. The programme provides 100 per cent tuition coverage for undergraduate and integrated courses (up to five years) in commerce, engineering and medical streams at selected colleges and universities (institutes) within Ludhiana district.

“At Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust, we firmly believe that education is the most powerful tool to drive social transformation. Through the Satya Scholarship Programme, we take another step towards empowering bright young minds from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to pursue higher education and realise their dreams. This initiative reflects our commitment to nurture a generation of scholars who will play a pivotal role in India’s economic growth and contribute towards shaping a vibrant, inclusive society that is rooted in equality and opportunity for all,” said Rakesh Bharti Mittal, president, Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust.

In its inaugural year, the programme will support 100 students, with plans to scale up to 400 scholars as the programme reaches its peak. The scholarship fully covers 100 per cent tuition fees as per the fee structure of the selected institute, and any tuition fee paid by the scholar in the first year will be reimbursed directly to the scholar or to their parents. Hostel and mess charges may also be considered by the Trust on a case-by-case basis if on-campus residence is mandatory.
