Actor Shoaib Ibrahim also spoke about his wife Dipika’s liver cancer in an emotional YouTube video. Holding back tears, he called it the hardest time of their lives but said he’s staying hopeful about her recovery. “Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, the scan report came out clear. The virus or its cells have not spread anywhere else in the body. Whatever is there is confined to the tumour, and once the tumour is surgically removed, Inshallah, things will get better. As of now, the doctors are saying everything looks under control, though ultimately, Allah knows best what the future holds," he said.

Shoaib added, “Still, I believe every person faces such phases in life at some point. For us, this is probably the toughest phase we’ve ever experienced. Yet, we are equally grateful to Allah. While this is undoubtedly a major health concern, the doctors are very confident in handling it. In fact, I can say with full confidence that they are assuring us it can be cured easily."

Earlier in May, Dipika’s husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim, shared an update on her health through his YouTube channel. She is now scheduled to undergo surgery for the tumour soon.
